Disposal options

For “disposal” of our remains after we die, there are several traditional and natural options available, most have been common for many years. Burial has always been Western society’s most used method to dispose of human remains until recent times due to growing populations and limited space for large cemeteries. More recently cremation became a cheaper alternative that allowed internment or scattering of ashes much more affordable and some would say less confronting than watching a coffin being lowered into an open grave.

Burials and cremations however are fast becoming the less eco-friendly option due to lack of space, use of synthetic products, and there are many new methods available now for those wishing to leave a smaller footprint behind when they die.
